The WT4 is a 4w amp that features a single EL84 or 6V6 output tube and a 7025 in v1. The amp is solid-state rectified with volume, and optional tone controls, treble/bass (American/British) switch, negative feedback control & line out as well. 

I had been working on a few of the early Ediquip 1027 & Moviola URS amps for a friend of mine, and though I really like the sound of those, they were always underpowered in my opinion. So I decided to build an amp that was based on those circuits, but with a little more voltage, and a 5w output transformer and power tube complement. I also took a cue from the 60’s Valco student amps’ preamp to dial in more of an early Led Zeppelin/Jimmy Page tone. 

With all of my amps, my goal is to get the signal from your fingers to the speaker the shortest route possible so as to capture all of the sonic information of your playing and to enrich the interactive experience of playing electric guitar through an amp. All of my builds are hardwired featuring turret or point to point construction. I employ thoughtful lead dress, component choice and DC filament voltage on V1 to minimize noise & maximize tone.
